Branch: Peterborough
Introduction: |
The present Peterborough Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild has been in existence for over 30 years and has over 21 members. We offer regular meetings, workshops and visits to exhibitions and places of interest. The meetings feature guest speakers who bring along inspirational examples of their work and mini workshops where you can revisit old skills or learn new ones. There is always the chance to chat to other members, to ask for advice, exchange ideas or find out what is happening locally and further afield. Full day workshops (10am - 4pm) take place several times a year at the Wistow Community Centre. They enable members to try new techniques – and often produce a finished item – in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
If you enjoy textiles, this could be the group for you! While embroidery is at the core of our activities, we explore many other facets of traditional and contemporary stitching.
As a member of the Embroiders Guild you will receive information from the Guild and Branch about our activities and services other organisations that we believe will be of interest to you.
The annual subscription to the Guild and Branch is £45.00. Members Entrance fee per meeting £5.00 Visitors £6.00
