Find a Branch

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Embroiderers' Guild and joining one of our branches, some of the members of our Oxford branch share their thoughts on the benefits of being a member in this video.

If you wish to receive more information on a particular branch and/or get in contact with them please do not use the Contact form that is shown below a branch's information as this service is currently suspended.

Please email receptionist@embroiderersguild.com or jo@embroiderersguild.com to ask to get in touch with a branch. Kirsten and/or Jo will email the branch on your behalf and, with your permission, ask the branch to contact you directly.

Branch: Strathendrick

Introduction: Welcome to The World of Embroidery and Textile Inspiration to be found at Strathendrick Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild.

We invite you to join us on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in Killearn Church Hall, Main Street, Killearn, G63 9NL. You don't need to be an expert embroiderer just have an interest in all things thread/textile.

Our meetings start about 10.30 a.m. with tea/coffee- chat-stitch - either your own or participate in some of the project work corners we can have on offer. Afternoons we usually have a visiting speaker.

All day classes are organised when you will be inspired by new techniques or revisit old favourites. The classes are led by experiences tutors from the world of embroidery and textile.

We have a library of craft/stitch books available to borrow. Killearn Stitchers operate a sales table that our members benefit from and enjoy some retail therapy.

Visitors are welcome - £3.00 for a half day or £4.00 for the whole day.

The Branch operates an outreach programme called FABRIC FUN. This programme reaches out to the Young People in the area and covers the surrounding villages. FABRIC FUN encourages the young people to explore through thread, fabric and all related resources including design. Work can be taken home or often it is part of events happening in the area e.g. '40th Anniversary of Drymen Library' a wall hanging.

Joining Strathendrick Branch will bring creativity and an appreciation of all things tactile to you life. We look forward to welcoming you.
