Ephemeral Beauty – the Beauty in the temporary.

Thread captures fleeting beauty, the feeling that time is passing, but through stitch it can be frozen in motion. Holding a memory as painted flowers and portraits are washed away by time.

The temporary nature of flowers teaches us to appreciate those around us a reminder that life isn’t permanent.

In Ephemeral Beauty as a flower begin to wither and decay the beauty is not lost, but falls into portraits of family.

The death of a flower is not the end but signifies a start of a new circle fertilised by wrinkled petals and fallen pollen, bleeding into a cascade of thread and fibre depicting the people and the nature I loves
