We receive donations of all manner of items throughout the year – from families of members who have passed away or someone reducing their stash. We are grateful for all items as we recycle and sell them at the Shows to raise funds to support the Guild Collection. In addition to the usual curated Inspiration packs packed with coordinating fabrics, threads, beads and buttons this year Trustees, Alex and Amanda, have also designed and made up kits for beginners and intermediates.
We enjoy meeting everyone interested in all forms of stitch and textiles. We never know what we are going to get so do drop by our stand. We might have just what you’ve been looking for!
With thanks to Amanda and Alex for hours of support collecting, unpacking/packing, sorting all manner of textile-related items, untangling, ironing, and putting together collections of threads as well as inspiration packs and kits.
The Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace is on from 10 to 13 October. We will be there with our retail stand and exhibiting ‘Opposites Attract’ Members’ Challenge and ‘Reuse, Recycle, Recreate’ Members’ Project pieces.
