Written by Following a resolution put to the members at the Guild AGM in July 2022, Members voted to approve the increase in annual membership from £38 to £39.
The Trustees had proposed the increase to cover the increased cost of basic administration, including postage and courier services.
Some members had argued for a greater increase, but the Trustees, recognising the increasing cost of living and threat of inflation, felt that the minimal addition of £1 would be more appropriate at this time. Members who feel that they would be able to pay more, are welcome to make up the difference with a small donation alongside the renewal of their membership fee.
The increase will come into effect starting in September 2022.
