Although we will not be displaying pieces from the collection at Alexandra Palace this year, our Members’ Challenge and Members’ Project entries will be on show at both events.
The Member’s Challenge for 2024 was inspired by ‘Opposites Attract’. Our e-book showcasing the entries can be found on this site: Members Challenge 2023/2024: Opposites Attract – Embroiderers’ Guild (embroiderersguild.com) but why not come along to see them in person?
The theme for our Members’ Project this year is ‘Restore, Repair, Recreate’ – celebrating the challenge and ultimate pleasure of taking fabrics, threads and other media and combining them into something new. The image above is a glimpse of one of these pieces, submitted by Victoria Keech. Thank you Victoria – and all the other members who contributed. We are looking forward to seeing your work on display.
At Harrogate, we will have an exhibition of pieces from our collection entitled On a Grand Scale. (More details coming soon!)
