25/26: what you need to know
The annual Membership for 25/26 remains at £42.
Purchase of a monthly membership spreads the cost over 12 monthly payments of £3.95 per month
Renewal reminders will be sent at least seven days before the 1st of the month in which your renewal is due.
If you are currently paying annually:
If we hold a current, valid bank card against your record, your payment will be taken automatically on the due date. Your reminder email will enable you to pay an additional donation should you wish to. If you do not wish to continue your membership, you will be able to cancel before the due date.
If we cannot process your payment because of an issue with the card we hold, we will contact you to request updated card details.
If we do not hold a current, valid bank against your record, your renewal reminder will ask for updated card details so that we can collect your payment.
If you would like to move from an annual subscription to a monthly arrangement, please contact us on reception@emberoiderersguild.com before your renewal date, so we can assist you in making the change.
Please Note: If you decide that you do not want to renew, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal is due. If you don’t, and your fee is collected, we can refund the collected money if you ask for a refund within the month – but if you decide you want to resign after that, we will consider the payment to be a donation to the Guild.
If you are currently paying monthly:
Your subscription will cease on your renewal date. To remain a member, you will need to purchase a new subscription. Your renewal reminder will give you the option to purchase an annual subscription, to sign up to monthly payments for the coming year, or to ask a friend or family member to purchase an annual subscription as a gift.
If you have joined the Guild, or had an additional year because of a gift purchase
You will also not have a current subscription plan. Again, to remain a member, you will need to purchase a new subscription. Your renewal reminder will give you the option to purchase an annual subscription, to sign up to monthly payments for the coming year, or to ask your friend or family member to purchase an annual subscription as a gift again
If you do not wish to provide us with a bank card:
We encourage you to use our automated process if you can, as it greatly reduces the need for manual intervention. We are entirely dependent on volunteers, and we would rather they spend their time on our charitable work, than routine paperwork,
However, we do recognise that some of our members may be reluctant to provide bank card details on-line and/or be wary of automated renewals that use them.
We cannot support monthly payments without a bank card – any off-line purchase therefore needs to be for an annual subscription.
We offer two alternative ways to pay – by cheque, or by BACS payment.
.You can download our 25/26 Renewal form using the link at the bottom of this page. This is a Word document that can be completed on your personal device to be returned by email, or printed out and completed by hand to then send through the post.
Instructions on how to pay and where to send your cheque (and the form) are on it. Please remember to tick Yes or No in the Gift aid box.
Your membership renewal date can be found in your member’s account in the ‘your membership’ box and will also appear on your renewal reminder (along with your renewal date). Please only download the form when you are due to renew, and only if you do not have a valid card registered against your subscription.
We do not want to take your membership fee twice!
We are, however, very grateful for all donations – if you’d like to make one, please use the donation button on the Home page of this website.
We will be pleased to welcome you back for another year!
