Season’s Greetings to all who celebrate this time of year!
Once again, the Trustees would like to thank our members, our affiliated groups, our subscribers, our donors, our social media followers, and everyone who attended a Guild event in the past year, for all the support you’ve given us in 2025. We hope that you, like us, are looking forward to what we have planned for 2026.
We continue to celebrate the art of the stitch, and we celebrate all of you who create that art, whether you are a tentative beginner, a long-practiced embroiderer, or one of the professional artists who inspire our community. We hope you all find a little time for yourselves when you can sit, stitch, and relax despite all the hustle and bustle at this time of year.
Our seasonal greetings card this year features a wonderful robin, stitched by Jean Carter back in 1965. He’s hopped out of the storage box at Halton to pose inside our festive frame. It’s one of the many pieces from the collection that will shortly be available to view on the ART UK website. So if you’d like to see the stitching up close, look for it there in 2026.
We wish you all the best for the holidays. May this time bring family and friends together, supply good things to eat, and provide entertainment for the heart and the soul.
The Trustees and our volunteers will be taking time off over the festive period. The Guild will be closing its doors on the 22nd of December and will open them again on the 5th of January. We’ll see you all in 2026!
