The Embroiderers’ Guild are delighted to announce that the Members Challenge for 2024/25 will be sponsored by JANOME
We will be adding a new award category to reflect JANOME’s involvement and their passion for machine embroidery
Deborah Shepherd, Creative Director of JANOME, will also be joining our panel of Judges
Commenting on the Members Challenge, Deborah said “It’s all very exciting, we are delighted to be joining the Guild for this year’s Members Challenge.”
JANOME are often asked by their customers “Why would I need all of those stitches.” Deborah loves to think JANOME machines have inspired some creative use of these stitches and hopes to inspire others to experiment and be bold!
“For the Janome category we wanted to encourage the use of all types of machine embroidery stitches and therefore the JANOME award is focused a little differently from the Val Campbell-Harding Award for best machine stitching”.
